Within the program of special coffees “ LA FLORIDA ”, is executed activities that help to preserve the environment.

For such effect we offer technical orientation to our partners, framed in policies of ecological agriculture.

 

In order to endorse our commitment with the care of the environment, we are the possessors of the coffee seals "bird friendly" or coffee under shadow

With the production of this type of coffee, we are able to protect the ground of the erosion, because it retains the humidity, recover the fertility of the ground and in that way the habitat of insects, birds and animals are conserved.

Within the plantations of coffee certified as friendly with the birds, we have natural forest species, like those of planted shadow, with species in their majority of the genre inga.

The certifiers demand that more than 70% of the forest has been of the same specie, this is made in order to maintain the biodiversity of the population of migratory birds that are beneficiaries of the ecosystem.
